Nature Affinity Powerset?
Another New powerset -- this one seems to be plant/fungal based on the animations, and seems to be a mix of buffs and traps. Defender/controller. I could SO easy see this on a Plant controller.
History: This blog is the third incarnation, and started as a paper RPG & desktop gaming blog. After starting the MMO City of Heroes days after its launch in 2004, It developed into one dedicated to that MMO, as it remained for nearly eight years. On November 30, 2012 that MMO was shut down by the company NCSoft despite an outpouring of fan support and community outrage. Starting In December 2012, I'm going to be opening up the focus of the blog to cover ANYTHING gaming I'm playing, be it PC, XBox 360, iPad, Dragon*Con, etc.
That being said, their will be images from various games posted on this blog. No claim here is made to the games, and no intent to infringe on any copyrights are inferred. Copyrights are property of the respective companies.

Stumbled on this video taken from Beta and recently published. Looks interesting. Unique animations -- but I see it leaning more toward Mutant characters. Depicted here as a Tanker power, I could see it to a lesser degree on a scrapper. It is definately a mix of damge resistance, defense , regen etc.
This one takes a unique approach to an entry -- having you come in on an Elevator shaft, and have to jump through the elevator escape hatch. Keeping with the theme, the place is dark and seemingly unfinished in more ways than one.
Found another of the base videos to share -- Another good example of stacking and other tricks. Notice the Banners spelling out the group name.
It looks like Gazillion is finally getting this one close to completion. In this it appears though that the player is playing MARVEL heroes. I hope not. This would be a total departure from the other games. Only time will tell. I can't imagine that the ability to MAKE personalized characters would not be part of a modern Superhero RPG. They're making a big deal out of costumes based on the Avenger's movie.
It does look like this game is doing a better flavor of multiplayer combat -- given the appeal of Marvel's universe of characters most of which seem to attract copycats in CoX despite being Eula violations, it may upset the 3-way split the current games have at the moment.
I have to admit -- I'm curious about it. But neither of the other two kept my interest for long. Will Marvel be any different?
First off I found this video that shows stacking in action. You can place items based on other items, but then the first can be removed. doing this repeatedly allows you to suspend objects in mid air. This is how many people use various counters pieces to make wooden walls, seuspended walkways, multilevel areas and more.
Here is a good example of multi-level base design --- from the Justice Server, Heirs of Talos. According to the forums they spent over 20 million prestige on this base...
Normally I keep it to COH on this blog, or at least superheroes. Avengers is hot right now and has been breaking theatre records and all that. And I've seen lots of the usual movie induced clones in game of late -- toons that are all to soon zapped to Generic status. It happens EVERY superhero movie, Marvel, DC, independent. With Batman, Spiderman and more coming this summer, we should get used to seeing these attempts before they are quashed.
That being said I stumbled on this video -- Answering the question of what if Will Smith was cast as Nick Fury in the Avengers movies. I think they nailed it --- Enjoy.
