Disclaimer

History: This blog is the third incarnation, and started as a paper RPG & desktop gaming blog.  After starting the MMO City of Heroes days after its launch in 2004,  It developed into one dedicated to that MMO, as it remained for nearly eight years. On November 30, 2012 that MMO was shut down by the company NCSoft despite an outpouring of fan support and community outrage.  Starting In December 2012, I'm going to be opening up the focus of the blog to cover ANYTHING gaming I'm playing, be it PC, XBox 360, iPad, Dragon*Con, etc.

That being said, their will be images from various games posted on this blog.  No claim here is made to the games, and no intent to infringe on any copyrights are inferred.   Copyrights are property of the respective companies.

Slow week so far

I didn't have much time one night, played a little Atomwave another.  Night before last, I decided to try for a golden age mage toon, using Doctor Fate as inspiration.  I ended up with a Time/Dark defender.  I kept the costume VERY basic.  Plain mono color tights, breifs on the paints, with folded gloves and feet.  I did put magic symbols on the feet and gloves.   I went with a basic monocolor cape - using the DVD arachnos cape I can use from level 1.  The head was the best part.  Using Full mask mode,  since I had gotten the elemental order mask, so I used that in white with red eyes.  I put the imperial defence head thing (Mask? Hat?) on which covers the top of the head in shiny metal.  Then I put an axe blade on the head itself.  Add a mild red Alpha aura so the eyes constantly glow and the effect is striking.   Giving his powers a purple or purple red theme. completes the picture.

Given time primary power,  I played around with google translate trying to come up with variations on time, infinity, etc., until I hit on Infinitas, Infinitum.   I went with the latter.  Doctor Infinitum was available on Virtue, but I thought that was pushing my luck, even for an homage toon.  I ended up going with Lord Infinitum.   Given his background as being part of an Orobouros like force, but ending up in Paragon City after its destruction with partial memories.  Most of his personal past and details of his previous group is gone.  While he has temporal magic, he's relearning it.

So far I've gotten good responses from it.  Doing blue/gold would have been problematic.   During purple/white seems to work well, especially with the red touches.
